The Cyclone Veterinary Information System (
This encompasses the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center and the Veterinary Pathology department, but not the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.
Users and potential users
- Referring veterinarians: If you refer patients to the Veterinary Medical Center, it is possible to view those animals' medical records online, including lab work, radiographs and case summaries (which in turn include discharge instructions). Please contact the reception desk or the client relations team for an account number and password, then log in here.
- Clinic clients: If you bring patients to the Veterinary Medical Center, you can access their records online. Please contact the reception desk for an account number and password, then log in here.
- Pathology clients: If your clinic is a direct customer of the Veterinary Pathology laboratories, you can view results online, download for printing, or in some cases, get them in spreadsheet form. Contact the pathology department for account number and password, then log in here.
- ISU Veterinary students: When informed that your class has been activated in the system, sign in at the universal ISU login page (https://login.iastate.edu/) and click the CVIS icon provided there.
- Clinic and Pathology staff: Login credentials should have been given to you when you started employment. Where applicable, these are generally identical to your credentials for Vetstar or VADDS. Log in here.
